Endothelin
Endothelin ist ein aus 21 Aminosäuren bestehendes Peptidhormon,
das seine Wirkung u.a. an den glatten Muskelzellen der Gefässe
sowie des Gastrointestinaltraktes entfaltet.
Antagonisten des Endothelins (z.B. Bosentan) werden erfolgreich
in der Therapie der Pulmonalen Hypertonie eingesetzt.
